Anne Bevins Lunde passed away on September 21, 2024, at The Tuttle Center at Harborside in Port Washington, N.Y. She was born to Henry Dana Bevins and Mildred Keenan Bevins on October 14, 1927, in New York City. She was a lifelong resident and a deep lover of Port Washington. She was educated in the Port Washington school system and received an associate’s degree from Green Mountain Junior College in Poultney, VT in 1947.
She met the love of her life, John C. Lunde, and they were married in 1949. They lived in Port Washington and raised a family until his passing in 2014. In later years, they enjoyed their summer home in North Hero, VT, and traveled extensively, especially enjoying vacations to Bermuda.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, John Charles Lunde. She is survived by her children Diane D. Dirkes (Peter) and John H. Lunde (Karyn); four grandchildren, Peter Todd Dirkes (Kate), Christin Dirkes Linchitz (Michael), Caitlin Dirkes Simmons (Marshall), and Henry August Lunde; and six great-grandchildren, Isabella and Cypher Dirkes, Charles, Luke, and James Linchitz, and Emerson Simmons.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
