Welcome to Teen Space: Time Capsules
3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Syosset Public Library TeenSpace)
Syosset Public Library welcomes upcoming sixth-graders to come decorate time capsules and write letters to their future selves. Bring some personal items to add to your capsule. Students will receive their capsules back at the end of eighth grade. Registration for the event is required and begins June 13. Movie Screening: Anyone But You
2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Syosset Public Library Theater) Join for a screening of Anyone But You, a romantic comedy that follows two arch-enemies who are forced to spend time together at their friends’ wedding. 9:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. (Jericho Public Library Back Entrance) The library is accepting gently used books to be sold at their annual book sale. Donated books can be left beneath the overhang on the donation cart to become property of the Jericho Library. The library accepts any genre of book, as well as CDs and DVDs. Needle Felting Workshop
4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Syosset Public Library Meeting Room) Create your own whale pet out of felt. The craft session will provide the resources to complete the activity, so registration is required.
