Fall Prevention Guided Exercises And Strategies

The Great Neck Library is hosting Robin Eckman of Vital Occupational Therapy on Monday, July 22 at 2 p.m. to teach seniors in the community how to reduce the risk of falling and improve your ability to thrive in your own home. Through guided exercises and strategies for fall prevention, Eckman will assist seniors in remaining safe and independent.

Eckman is an Occupational Therapist, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Certified Fall Prevention Specialist, and National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. She is a graduate of Yeshiva University Stern College for Women and New York University School of Education Department of Occupational Therapy. Eckman received her certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, her CFPS from PESI Healthcare and Evergreen Certifications and her CPT from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

With over 27 years of experience, Eckman an experienced Occupational Therapist who treats an array of diagnoses, including orthopedic, neurological, cardiovascular, pulmonary, dementia and complications from ESRD and diabetes.

Registration is required for this program. Great Neck Library cardholders and residents can register online, in-person, or via phone. Non-residents are welcome as walk-ins, as space allows. Visit greatnecklibrary.org to register.
