North Side School Educators Inspire Reading Excitement With Story Performances

North Side School educators at the East Williston Union Free School District recently delighted their students with a rendition of beloved children’s books during the annual “Books Alive” event. The special performances were aimed to foster an excitement over reading and provide an enjoyable experience for the students.

Prior to the performances, the students read the books and explored their positive messages and themes through discussions. David Ezra Stein, the author of Interrupting Chicken, will visit North Side School in April. The special author visit will provide students with an opportunity to engage with the creator of one of their cherished literary works.
“Books Alive” is a longstanding tradition that is led by Bonnie Klein and Kiki Kyrou and other North Side artists and musicians.
