The Town of North Hempstead has announced the schedule for the 2024 FunDay Monday Season.
The town hosts the FunDay Monday free events for senior residents at North Hempstead Beach Park (175 W Shore Rd., Port Washington) every Monday from July 8 to Aug. 19. FunDay Monday is organized and hosted by the Town’s Department of Community Services, which offers hundreds of seniors the opportunity to gather for games, music, dancing, exercise and more.
“FunDay Monday is always a fan favorite amongst our residents, and for good reason,” Supervisor DeSena said. “I’m so excited for this summer’s program slate – hopefully I can join in on a few beach walks and pickleball matches. Where else can you get such a wide variety of fun activities at no cost?”
The events lined up for the 2024 FunDay Monday season include fitness classes, games, arts and crafts, beach walks and more. Each week, pickleball is offered from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., yoga from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., line dancing from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Tai Chi from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

July 29: Health Fair sponsored by Northwell Health
August 5: At the Copacabana
August 12: Country Music and Dancing
August 19: HomeTown USA – An exciting celebration of American traditions with crafts, hobbies, demos, musical performances, a classic car show and a special Salute to the Troops.
FREE bus transportation is available from various points throughout the Town.
