Fun Fridays: Luminous Lighthouse
11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (The Whaling Museum & Education Center) Come join the COld Spring Harbor Whaling museum and explore the radiant world of lighthouses in this creative design workshop. Discover fun facts about these buildings, including how they used to be lit with whale oil! Design and decorate a unique lighthouse of your own during a fun crafting activity and complete it with battery-powered tea light! Admission is $10 per participant, $5 for members. Syosset Farmer’s Market
9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. (68 Berry Hill Road, Syosset) Syosset’s new farmer’s market is open every Saturday from May through October. Local company’s attend, and residents can buy local products and learn about their community’s food system. Women in Business Summer Social
5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (7903 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury) Come to the Syosset-Woodbury Chamber of Commerce Women in Business meeting this summer. Patrons attending can enjoy delicious food and great conversation at Butera’s, with happy hour prices at the bar. There will be 25 open seats, and the cost to non-members of the Chamber is $30.
