A wonderful POB tradition, the POB Memorial Day Parade will be on Monday, May 27th. The chamber will meet at 700 Old Country Road at 9:00 am. Come march with us! The parade kicks off at 9:30am and heads down Old Country Road past the library. We make a left turn onto Manetto Hill Road and then a quick right to the POB Community Park on Washington Avenue. There will be a short ceremony there with veterans and various local organizations. Help support this great community parade! Please donate: Funds are needed for insurance, security and materials costs. Consider sponsoring next year (the deadline for 2024 was May 10th) This new opportunity is limited and filled up fast! Sponsor details: $250 to be featured on the 20 foot by 3 foot banner to be displayed at the town park celebration. Join the Community to Remember, Honor & Salute our Heroes, those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our Nation. On 5/27/24, the Annual Memorial Day Parade kicks off @ 10am proceeding south on Main Street, ending at Village Hall; rain or shine. Followed by a Ceremony @ the Village Green with Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 516, VFW Auxiliary Post 516, American Legion, troops, groups +, 361 Main St. The parade step-off varies by group or organization (Northside School, Thomas Powell, etc., details provided by the Fire Department.)
