Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District Announces First Full-Day UPK Program For Next School Year

The Oyster Bay-East Norwich Central School District is delighted to announce its first Full-Day Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program (UPK), commencing in 2024-2025. This full-day program will be held at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School. Eligible students must be 4 years old on or before Dec. 1, 2024, and must be residents of the district.
The UPK program’s curriculum is aligned with the New York State Pre-Kindergarten Learning Standards and is taught by New York State certified teachers. Parents and families must provide transportation to and from the program.
Applications will be available on Feb. 16 and will be accepted through March 15. Applications may be downloaded from www.obenschools.org or may be picked up in person from the Central Administration building at 1 McCouns Lane. The district can accommodate 36 students for this program. Selection will be via a randomized lottery system which will take place on April 16 at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School. Details regarding the lottery will be shared with all eligible applicants.
