Level Up Glen Cove, a fitness and wellness studio, is proud to announce the launch of its non-profit organization, Level Up Glen Cove Cares. The organization is committed to promoting health and wellness in marginalized communities, by extending their services beyond the studio and reaching out to neighborhoods that may struggle to access affordable and high-quality health and wellness services.
Founded by Nicole Helmus, the owner of Level Up Glen Cove, the organization aims to empower communities and build stronger and happier neighborhoods, where everyone has the courage and motivation to believe in themselves. “I envision a day when all neighborhoods within their own community have access to affordable and high-quality health and wellness services, building stronger and healthier neighborhoods where residents can thrive and live their best lives,” Helmus stated.
Level Up Glen Cove Cares is dedicated to providing resources and support to people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. The organization’s programs are designed to promote physical fitness, mental health, healthy eating habits, and overall well-being.
“I created this organization because health and wellness matter, and I wanted to go beyond the studio space and into the communities that may be marginalized,” Helmus added. “When we empower our communities, we become healthier, stronger, and happier. You will see a community that will have the courage and motivation to always believe in themselves.”
On Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 5 p.m., Level Up Glen Cove Cares gave back to the youth of Glen Cove EOC by sponsoring a day of health and wellness. The event included a 35-minute fitness class, followed by a talk session on the benefits of health and wellness.
