On Sept. 7, the Glen Cove Junior Soccer League celebrated the start to the soccer season.
The community gathered for a parade at 10 a.m. down School St. At 11 a.m., the soccer league played its season opener.
The event was attended by local officials, such as Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton (D – Glen Cove), Mayor Pam Panzenback, Deputy Mayor Donna M. McNaughton and City Council Member Marsha Silverman
The Glen Cove Junior Soccer League was formed in 1969 and enters its 55th season this year.
